As a concerned individual, I‘m aware of the challenges that we the students face in this University. My experience in the senate has granted me the knowledge and leadership that‘s needed to face the current adversities we‘ll have to overcome. From battling fee increases, to developing new and effective initiatives, I‘ve always considered our community‘s biggest concerns a priority.

Why did you choose to attend UMass Boston?

I decided to attend UMass Boston because of the quality of education, its diverse student body, and the level of involvement this university has with community programs, research, and urban development. I feel that most of the people at UMass Boston are here because they want to learn. Also, everyone seems very down to earth, and that's something you don't find in all educational institutions.

List something that you find most interesting or surprising about UMass Boston?

From UMass Boston's unique location and peculiar architecture, to its great professors, this University continues to surprise me. Equally, the potential I see in the student community and the amount of resources available are things I like about being here.

What do you hope to gain from your experience in the Undergraduate Student Senate?

I hope that my experience in the senate allows me to leave a positive mark in the school. I want to fight apathy in our campus, make a difference, and address the issues that concern us- the students.
