We need to begin advocating for ourselves, and pushing the state to provide UMB with funding so we can adhere to our urban mission and provide access and opportunity to higher education not only in the surrounding communities, but statewide.
Why did you choose to attend UMass Boston?
I was offered a great scholarship and great opportunities that I could not turn my back on.
List something that you find most interesting or surprising about UMass Boston?
I absolutely love the diversity on campus, especially since there was really no diversity at all where I went to high school.
What do you hope to gain from your experience in the Undergraduate Student Senate?
I hope to further my leadership skills and better advocate for students at the campus and statewide level.
